GCSEC CONTRIBUTED TO THE NEW REPORT RELEASED BY THE EASTWEST INSTITUTE, THE INTERNET HEALTH MODEL FOR CYBERSECURITY
The Internet puts people, systems, and networks in constant contact worldwide, and it needs a global, coordinated effort to protect digital systems from online threats – just like the public health community’s efforts to defend our bodies from illness.
The report examines how the model of international public health can inform efforts to track and block malware and other malicious actors.

The EastWest Institute is an international, non-partisan, not-for-profit policy organization focused on confronting critical challenges that endanger peace. The EastWest Institute is a global think-and-do tank that devises innovative solutions to pressing security concerns and mobilizes networks of individuals, institutions and nations to implement these solutions.
EWI was founded in 1980 when John Edwin Mroz and Ira Wallach set out to bridge divides across the Iron Curtain. since 1989, the “East” and “West” in name no longer represent the political divisions of the Cold War. EWI has since expanded its work to become a global organization, working with the U.S., NATO, Turkey, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and many other countries in Europe and Asia.
