GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY’S INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT ON CYBER – WASHINGTON D.C., 10 APRIL 2012
GCSEC General Director Andrea Rigoni will participate as speaker at Georgetown University’s Second Annual International Engagement on Cyber Conference on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. in Lohrfink Auditorium. This event is designed to promote a dialogue among cyber security experts from across the globe to further advance progress in addressing the most challenging threats to global cyber security. Speakers and participants represent diverse disciplines and various national and international perspectives. By advancing a multidisciplinary, international approach to the topic of cyber security the conference will facilitate a broader global discussion of, and positive momentum for, the development of norms in cyberspace that will improve cyber security.
The event will include four expert panels, each followed by audience participation, on the following topics:
1) National Security and Diplomatic Efforts to Improve Cyber Security
2) International and Domestic Law Enforcement Measures Across National Boundaries to Address the Threats in Cyber
3) Corporate Perspectives on the Challenges to Improving Cyber Security
4) Innovative, International Cooperative Responses to Cyber Incidents.
The discussions will be led by current and former senior government policymakers, technical experts, business leaders, lawyers and academics who seek to improve understanding of the cyber domain and the opportunities and challenges that exist in that domain.
