CYBER SECURITY DISTRICT MEETS COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY


Salvatore J. Stolfo, Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University and consultant to US government, has published several books and well over 250 scientific papers. He has won several best research paper awards and has been granted 33 patents in the areas of parallel computing and database inference and computer security; most have been licensed or sold.
Steven Michael Bellovin is Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University where researches in the field of networks, information security and national policies related to these topics. He has been Chief Technologist of Federal Trade Commission, member of Computer Science and Telecommunications Board of the National and member of Technical Guidelines Development Committee of the Elections Assistance Commission. He has received the 2007 NIST/NSA National Computer Systems Security Award and has been elected to the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame.
The workshop was an opportunity to define common research directions with the Columbia University and to enforce international collaboration.
