NEISAS FINAL WORKSHOP – LONDON, MARCH 25TH 2011

NEISAS FINAL WORKSHOP – LONDON, MARCH 25TH 2011
NEISAS – National and European Information Sharing and Alerting System, is an EU funded project that engages with stakeholders in the public and private sector who are addressing Critical Information Infrastructure Protection through trusted information sharing on vulnerabilities, threats and good practice solutions. These national communities, often called Information Exchanges (IEs) or Information Sharing and Analysis Centres (ISACs), meet face-to-face at regular intervals but also have a need to share information electronically via a trusted platform.NEISAS has intended to create a framework and a prototype national platform which will also provide the capability for bilateral exchange at the European level between national platforms. The project started in early 2009 and will conclude in April 2011 culminating in a workshop in London that will also see the participation of GCSEC.

The results of the NEISAS project will be presented alongside the current context for NEISAS in relation to information sharing and exchange in Europe. A key approach taken in designing the NEISAS Framework and prototype platform was the analysis of requirements from communities who already exchange information face to face. Delegates will have the opportunity to take part in discussions addressing various NEISAS learning points, including ISO/IEC 27010 in relation to the NEISAS Framework and the lessons learnt in cross border information sharing and exchange.
