CENTR is an association of Internet Country Code Top Level Domain Registries such as .uk in the United Kingdom and .es in Spain. Full Membership is open to organizations, corporate bodies or individuals that operate a country code top level domain registry.
CENTR provides a forum to discuss matters of policy affecting ccTLD registries and acts as a channel of communication to Internet governing bodies and other organisations involved with the Internet. It promotes the interests of not-for-profit ccTLDs and lobbies on their behalf.
CENTR also facilitates collaborative projects on technical managerial and legal issues affecting ccTLDs.
Rigoni’s speech was focused on DNSSEC and more in general on the Security of DNS.
After presenting statistics on DNSSEC, Andrea discussed the importance of DNS for the Internet and for Critical Services directly/indirectly depending from Internet and DNS. He also explained the need to develop new metrics and measurement approaches on the security, resilience and stability of DNS.
Andrea also announced the intention of GCSEC to start a research project on DNS Security and he invited interested organizations to express their interest to join the project as participants.
